UIDAI has made arrangements so that you can download Aadhar card online from their website using your existing Aadhar number. The e-Aadhar card can be downloaded free of cost without paying a dime to anyone from the UIDAI website.
It is possible that you enrolled for Aadhar card but have not recieved it yet via post, in that case, you can download pdf e-Aadhar card from the official website as it is provided free of cost to every Indian citizen.
There are two options to download your e-Aadhar card online. One is via your Aaadhar number (UID No.) and second is via your Enrolment Id. In this post we will show you how to download your e-Aadhar card using your Aadhar number / UID number.

How to Download e Aadhaar card using your Aadhaar number (UID No.) in under 2 minutes
Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website provided by the Indian Government https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
Step 2: Website will open with a form that you should fill up with the correct details. Select the second option (radio button) which says “Aadhaar” since we will be downloading the e-Aadhar card using the UID Number / Aadhar number.
Step 3: Fill up your personal details tab, enter your Aadhar Number / UID Number, Full Name, Pincode and Captcha code. Captcha code is nothing but the text displayed in the image. Just enter the same code as you see in the image. Please note that the Captcha code will be different everytime you visit the website. The letters in the Captcha are case sensitive.
Step 4: Click on the button “Get One Time Password”. The system will verify whether all the details including your mobile number are entered correctly and will send a SMS which will include a OTP (One Time Password) on your entered mobile number. The SMS might take upto 5 minutes to reach.
Please Note: OTP will be SMS only to the mobile number that is connected qto your Aadhar Card during the process of enrolment.
Step 5: Once OPT is recieved, enter the OTP in the “Enter OTP” input box and click on “Validate and Download” button.
Step 6: One all details including the OTP has been entered correctly, a download will start of PDF file which contains your e-Aadhar card. The e-Aadhar card PDF file is password protected.
Note: The Downloaded e-Aadhar PDF file will be password protected with your Pin code. For ex. If the pin code of your city is 400001 then the password of the e-Aadhar card PDF file will be 400001
What if you’ve changed your mobile number that was connected to your Aadhaar card?
It is possible that you have lost your old mobile number and have changed mobile number. No need to worry. You have the option to download e-Aadhar card using Enrolment Number.
